Hi Everyone – I am dropping a line to see if anyone is interested in taking part in the 100 Day Project, where participants make a daily practice of doing something they’d like to build into a habit, or improve a skill, or test their boundaries etc…

I started to do it last year and got stuck at day 33 (I tried to sketch every day), but I’m doing it this year (I decided to start today instead of wait unti the 29th). My persona challenge is to become much more comfortable using D3, so my project is to create a little D3 block every day.

Sign up for the 100 days project newsletter here: and if you are doing it, drop a message in the comments. We can keep eachother accountable 😉

It starts today! Gosh, would love to give D3 a solid effort (although I should probably concentrate on Knime, yesssseh!)
I guess I have until midnight to light a fire under myself.

If you do do it – I’d recommend doing somehing that will keep you going for 100 days – and d3 may be it! (esp if Viz is your ultimate goal)

Check out Scott Murray’s book – has some good simple exercises to get you started (I’m using his book) – think there is an e-version on library site

I have the book, O’Reilly had 50% off their digital ebooks, what a steal! And will probably need to sort this program out in order to submit EOI for a data driven installation at Art&About next year…just a thought.
